Eton Avenue, Hampstead, London

This roof level apartment in a substantial grade II listed Hampstead house had been unimaginatively developed in the late 1980s. Unsympathetically compartmented rooms ignored the character and potential of the space. The poorly conceived elements included a bedroom, bathroom, mezzanine level and stair. These were removed to allow more elegant arrangements.

A light filled living space is balanced by service spaces that include guest wc, kitchen, book walls, large bedroom and storage space. An upper level study space and terrace gives rooftop views toward central London.

The apartment was sold quickly by The Modern House agency before they were able to list.
