Remodeled Apt, Belsize Park, London

Renovation of this apartment in an end terrace Belsize Conservation Area house reinstated the original character of the spaces. Post-war austerity style two bar electric fires within tiled inserts, bricked up fireplace apertures, and awkwardly added partitions were removed to reveal the elegance of the rooms. Plaster wall planes were restored allowing light hued paint and sanded original floors to capture natural light from three directions. A bathroom partition wall was repositioned to enhance utility of a kitchen breakfast room, ready for renewal with bespoke cabinetry.
